Caroline Wilson has advocated the prospect of coaching Tasmania to Nathan Buckley as speculation intensifies that the former Pies coach could be the man to replace Simon Goodwin for 2026.

Wilson sees the opportunities in Tasmania and the club’s structure as reasons Buckley should look beyond coaching at Melbourne.

“Tasmania might have its issues now, but it has a strong football CEO and I reckon Tasmania is a far more exciting prospect,” Wilson said on 3AW Football.

“If I were Nathan Buckley, I’d be having another couple of years in the media and waiting for Tasmania.”
