With the recent sacking of Simon Goodwin at Melbourne, many former coaches have been floated as candidates for the job, with Nathan Buckley firming as the favourite to become the new Demons coach.

Despite the former Collingwood star being likely to become Melbourne’s new coach, AFL legend Kevin Bartlett thinks Buckley is more suited to the Tasmanian job.

“I actually thought the job with Tasmania would appeal to Nathan Buckley more than the other 18 clubs,” Bartlett said on Wide World of Sports.
