Caroline Wilson provides update on AFL’s ‘shambolic’ commission selection process
Caroline Wilson believes the new AFL chairman position could go to Peter Gordon, amongst speculation that Jeff Browne is withdrawing from the process.
Richard Goyder, who announced he was stepping down from the job at the end of 2026, has not yet named a succession plan, much to the dismay of Wilson.
“Peter Gordon is on the road to potentially becoming the next AFL chairman, something other presidents are not comfortable with,” Wilson said on 3AW Football.

“I can’t call it at the moment, but I have never seen such shambolic leadership and not having a succession plan.”
