Saturday’s Welcome to Country at ENGIE Stadium went for four minutes, a length of time which Shane McInnes believes is too long.

He has called for the AFL to mandate the duration of the Welcome to Country ceremonies and thinks it should be a “maximum of 90 seconds”.

“It can’t be going for four and half minutes, sorry that’s too long,” McInnes said on 3AW Football.
