Essendon is set to sign Brayden Fiorini after he knocked back rival interest to make the move to Victoria.

While Fiorini is a free agent, the Bombers will look to trade for the Suns midfielder to protect the value of the compensation pick awarded following Sam Draper’s move to Brisbane.

“It’s one little bit of good news for the Bombers,” Matthew Lloyd said on 3AW Drive about Fiorini’s impending move to Essendon.

“He’ll bring some midfield depth, and he’s certainly what they need.”
