‘Sick and tired’: Brad Battin’s right of reply to Ben Carroll on Victoria’s bail laws
State opposition leader Brad Battin was given right of reply to Deputy Premier Ben Carroll’s comments on 3AW Mornings yesterday regarding Victoria’s bail laws.
Carroll told Tom Elliott he’s taking a zero tolerance to crime approach, but Battin stated “we can’t forget that he (Carroll) was in the cabinet that changed the bail laws to weaken them originally”.

“We’ve already said we would bring in break bail face jail, because we are sick and tired,” Battin said on 3AW Mornings.
“For the government to say one thing and talk about zero tolerance, but not deliver the legislation after weakening the laws, well that’s a government fault, not the magistrates and judges.”
The state opposition leader was also questioned on the Victorian treaty, the emergency services levy, work from home legislation and his upcoming trip to China.
