Why Tony Shaw thinks Tristian Xerri shouldn’t be in hot water over bloody act
Tristian Xerri could be in hot water for his contact with Andy McGrath during the second quarter at Marvel Stadium between Essendon and North Melbourne.
Xerri was seen wiping blood from his nose onto the cheek of the Essendon player, but Tony Shaw isn’t convinced the sanction should include suspension.
“I’m just going to throw it up, but can we get better than a bloke misses out on a game?” Shaw said on 3AW Football.

“You shake the hand of the bloke and say sorry, but I think he’ll get a week.”
