The AFL is facing a ‘career-threatening’ decision as they prepare to hand down their findings to fringe Saint Lance Collard on Friday.

Collard’s disciplinary hearing will extend into another after the AFL’s Tribunal failed to come to a verdict on an alleged homophobic slur he delivered during a VFL game last month.

“This is a career-threatening call,” AFL Media’s Cal Twomey said on 3AW.

“This is the jeopardy that is involved here.”
