Matthew Lloyd has shared his thoughts straight after the siren on Friday night, after Essendon went down to Richmond by 18 points, and now sit bottom of the ladder.

The club great was blunt in his analysis, stating the Tigers “beat the Bombers up”.

“They are ahead of the Bombers a fair way with the talent that they’ve got,” Lloyd said about the Tigers on 3AW Football.

“18th on the ladder, and that’s probably fitting for where they stand and the type of footy they’re playing.”
