James Hird has officially put his hand up to be Essendon’s next coach, following the sacking of Brad Scott.

Essendon great Kevin Sheedy joined 3AW Mornings and was asked about his thoughts on James Hird’s possible return as coach.

“It takes a special type of person to be a very good coach,” Sheedy told Tom Elliott.
