Matthew Lloyd has spoken on James Hird’s involvement in the Essendon head coaching process, after Hird confirmed he had spoken to club president Andrew Welsh earlier this week.

The Bombers greats were at an event on Wednesday night together, with Lloyd stating Hird will be “tough to knock off” from a presentation point of view.

“The passion, the hunger, the thirst for this job, I’ve never seen anything like it,” Lloyd said about Hird.
