The Victorian state government has tabled a fresh pay offer in an effort to prevent teachers from walking off the job.

Australian Education Union branch councillor and leading member of ‘Fight The Crisis’, Lucy Honan, says Ben Carroll’s latest deal to stop the teacher strike was “pathetic”.

“We were completely inflamed by the email that hit our inboxes,” Honan said on 3AW Drive.

“It’s a very pathetic attempt from the Education Minister to try and head off the strike.”
