Alcohol and drug body calls for illicit drugs policy change in Victoria
The Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association is calling on the state government to decriminalise the personal possession and use of illicit drugs.
Its chief executive Chris Christoforou told 3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott what Victoria was doing had not worked and it was time to change the rules.

“I think the option is that people don’t need to be dragged before a court for it, they can be referred to alternative pathways to get the help that they need,” he said.
