Ahead of Thursday night’s clash between Collingwood and Geelong, the pre-game build-up had a different look, with both teams running out onto the field close to the first bounce.

3AW Mornings host Tom Elliott wasn’t a fan of the revamped pre-game look, saying we should continue to “celebrate” the traditions, such as the club theme songs played pre-game.

“Is the AFL becoming cheap and nasty?” Elliott said.
