Caroline Wilson believes James Hird won’t be returning to Essendon in any capacity after failing to win the senior coaching job.

The Bombers appointed Mark McVeigh as Brad Scott’s successor this week, ending weeks of speculation.

And despite McVeigh publicly declaring his interest in welcoming back Hird to the club, Caro doesn’t think it’ll happen.
