North Melbourne great Drew Petrie is backing the club’s call to sack coach Alastair Clarkson.

Clarkson’s time at the club concluded last week, following an extensive review of the team’s 2026 performance.

Petrie said that after speaking to various people around the club, he was now confident the right call was made.

“It’s never a personal thing – it’s such a ruthless business. Hard decisions have to be made.”
