Footscray/Western Bulldogs great Tony Liberatore has paid tribute to his son Tom after he announced his retirement today.

The 2016 premiership player reportedly made the decision last week, and told his teammates today.

“Obviously very proud, maybe just a fraction disappointed he wasn’t given an option to play next year,” Liberatore told Jimmy Bartel and Laura Spurway on Sports Today.
