After public backlash, the City of Whittlesea has rescinded $627 in parking fines issued to a group of disabled pensioners who were watching their grandchildren play footy.

3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate provided an update on the situation, saying the Whittlesea council has “finally seen the light”.

“After a solid week of campaigning, we won,” Felgate said on 3AW Drive.
