‘A dog’s breakfast’: Richo criticises the stand rule

The stand rule has received a lot of backlash from the footy community, with Gold Coast coach Damian Hardwick questioning the rule after their loss to Hawthorn.

Matthew Richardson agrees with Damian Hardwick and thinks umpires need to give players “more wriggle room” when standing the mark.

“At the moment, it’s a dogs breakfast, it’s just ridiculous,” Richardson said on 3AW Football.

“I don’t think they’re going to get rid of it, but just soften it up a little bit.”
