AFL CEO Andrew Dillon concedes he would have liked more people to turn up to North Melbourne’s centenary clash.

25,009 turned up at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night, which honoured some of the club’s greatest ever players and culminated in a rousing pre-match speech from premiership coach Denis Pagan.

While the attendance was right on forecast, Dillon told Tom Elliott he would always hope more people attend marquee matches such as those.

“It was a solid crowd,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“We would have loved a couple more there, but it’s still a crowd that was right on forecast.”
