The AFL industry is being urged to ‘learn a lesson’ from how Oscar Allen’s exit at West Coast was handled.

The Eagles forward is widely tipped to head to Brisbane after the club confirmed his exit as a free agent, following months of speculation about his future.

“It was strange – I don’t think the club handled it well, and Oscar would probably put his hand up and say parts of it he hasn’t it well as well,” former West Coast player Will Schofield told Wide World of Sports.

“Across the league, we could probably learn a lesson from (the saga).”
