The AFL is being accused of orchestrating “off the book” illicit drug tests so players wouldn’t get caught by the world doping authority.

Independent MP Andrew Wilkie dropped the bombshell in federal parliament last night, claiming he has a signed statement from former Melbourne football club doctor Dr Zeeshan Arain.

“Ultimately, I think this is just the AFL’s illicit drugs policy in action,” Justin Quill from Thompson Gear Lawyers told Ross and Russ.

Sport integrity researcher and former group director at ASADA, Catherine Ordway, then weighed in on the allegations on 3AW Mornings.
