AFL to consider sweeping changes to MRP

The Match Review Panel could sit as many as four times on a weekend under sweeping changes being considered by the AFL, says Mitch Cleary.

The Sportsday newsbreaker said changes would be presented to the AFL Commission next week.

The MRP currently sits on Monday, meaning players reported on Thursday or Friday night games have to sweat on their penalty the entire weekend.

Jimmy Bartel, who sat on the panel last season, said members would have to become full-time for those changes to come into effect.
