AFL umpire banned after dressing up as Osama Bin Laden at post-season event

AFL umpire Leigh Haussen has been banned from umpiring in Round 1 next year after dressing up as Osama Bin Laden at a post-season event.

The revelation comes just days after several GWS Giants planned were banned following similar incidents at their own post-season function.

Haussen admitted in an AFL statement that he made an “error of judgement” and was sorry for his actions.

“These are adults – get a grip,” Jacqui Felgate said on 3AW Drive.
