Alex Johnson “wouldn’t be surprised” if Swans land big fish

Injury-plagued delisted Swan Alex Johnson isn’t ruling out Sydney landing a marquee name in the off-season.

Dan Hannebery has signaled his intention to move home to Victoria while Gary Rohan is reportedly heading for the exit door as well.

The 26-year-old told 3AW Football history suggested Sydney were up to something in the trade market.

“I think they’ll probably be a couple of other guys that will move on as well which hasn’t happened yet,” he said.

“I wouldn’t be surprise if the Swans are going after a big fish, they’ve got Kurt Tippett and Lance Franklin over the last few years and they’ve always been working away behind the scenes to land someone.”
