Bailey Smith’s antics are “unsustainable” and becoming a distraction for Geelong, according to 3AW Breakfast sports reporter Jon Anderson.

The star recruit has performed strongly for the Cats this year, even while being fined multiple times for flipping the bird and raising eyebrows with comments he’s made on Instagram.

While Anderson said he was impressed by Smith’s form, the way he conducts himself is putting unnecessary pressure on the rest of the club.

“Full credit (that’s he’s performing at a high level), but it’s unsustainable,” he told Ross and Russ.

“This year he’s had four fines … it puts a lot of pressure on him and is also a distraction for that football club.

“No player at Geelong in Chris Scott’s time would have brought that level of attention to the club.”
