Another day, another servo: Armed thugs raid Narre Warren petrol station
There’s been another armed robbery at a petrol station overnight, this time in Melbourne’s south-east.
Two men described as being of African appearance stormed into the United Petrol Station in Narre Warren North about 4am, with their faces covered by T-shirts.
Inder, who works at the petrol station, says one was armed with a machete and the other had a large rock.
They demanded his colleague open the cash register, which contained less than $300.
The offenders demanded more money, but when told there wasn’t any more they took the cash register and fled on foot.
It’s not the first time the petrol station has been targeted in the past year and follows a string of petrol station armed robberies in the south east and northern suburbs this week.
