‘Australia has changed’: The strong reaction on 3AW to ‘horrendous’ Bondi terror attack

The death toll from the Bondi terror attack is now at 16, with one of them a child, and a further 42 people fighting for life in hospital.

Former 3AW Mornings host Neil Mitchell joined Simon Owens and Andrew McLaren on Sunday night shortly after the harrowing scenes.

“Australia has changed, we’ve changed forever,” Mitchell said on Remember When.

State opposition leader Jess Wilson then spoke out, stating she’s “absolutely heartbroken”.

“It just flies in the face of everything we know to be Australians,” Wilson said.

Former Victorian Premier Jeff Kennett then had his say, stating “this is not the Australia I grew up in”.

“Words by our leaders are not enough,” Kennett said.
