Australian Open crowds capped as COVID-19 cases surge
Crowds at the Australian Open will be capped at 50 per cent in sessions which have not already been sold in excess of that level, in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19.
All tickets purchased to date remain valid.
There will be no changes to ground pass access.
Face masks will be mandatory for all patrons at the Australian Open, except when eating or drinking, and a density limit of one person per two square metres will apply in indoor hospitality areas.
HEPA filters will be installed to improve ventilation in indoor areas of Melbourne Park.
