Bartel’s inside word on how Aleer trade broke down

The Saints have withdrawn their interest in Giants defender Leek Aleer, after he requested a trade to the club.

On The Trade Off podcast, Jimmy Bartel has revealed how the trade broke down, which has left the 24-year-old in an awkward position.

“You really feel he’s been let down by St Kilda,” Matthew Lloyd said.
