Beau McCreery’s strong message for footy world who ‘wrote off’ Collingwood

Hard-nosed Pie Beau McCreery has a pointed message from those who wrote Collingwood off earlier in the season.

The Pies are preparing to face Brisbane in a home Preliminary Final, having overcome an indifferent last month of their campaign.

Speaking to 3AW Football’s Eddie Summerfield, McCreery said the club’s inner belief was crucial during a lean period, which saw Collingwood lose three of its last four games of the season.

“If you look in the media two weeks ago, everyone was writing us off,” he said on 3AW Football.

“The belief we have in each other and this team…we never wrote each other off.”
