‘Best of the year’: Jon Anderson praises Essendon’s performance in loss against Brisbane

It was a gutsy performance from the undermanned Bombers, who went down by 18 points to the ladder-leading Lions at the Gabba on Thursday night.

And 3AW Breakfast sports reporter Jon Anderson thinks the Bombers should be eyeing off September action in 2026.

“Their performance was clearly their best of the year and it was a loss,” Anderson said.
