‘Blown away’: The on-field encounter with Buddy burned in Matthew Lloyd’s memory

Matthew Lloyd has recalled an encounter he had with Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin in 2008 that left him “blown away” by how good Franklin was.

Lloyd paid tribute to Franklin on 3AW after he announced his retirement on Monday.

“He’s the player I’ve enjoyed commentating the most,” Lloyd said.
