‘Bottom did fall out’: Matthew Richardson’s reaction to heavy Richmond loss

Matthew Richardson says a heavy defeat for Richmond “was coming for a few weeks”, calling on club president John O’Rourke to come out and back the first year coach.

The Tigers were smashed by 91 points on Saturday night, leaving them in 17th place with just win so far this season.

But Richo said on 3AW Football he felt for Adem Yze, who is just nine games into his senior coaching career.

“I do feel for him,” he said on 3AW.

“I feel like a loss like that was coming for a few weeks…the bottom did fall out a bit last night.”
