‘Bottom out pretty quickly’: How Richmond should approach rebuild

Matthew Richardson says Richmond may be better served “bottoming out pretty quickly” as they look to swiftly rebuild.
The Tigers’ season sunk to a new low on Saturday night, going down by a whopping 119 points to Brisbane on Saturday night.
Richo now believes his injury-hit former side needs to look to the top tier of the draft to regenerate after a recent period of success.

“I feel like you’re better off just bottoming out pretty quickly and go bad quickly,” he said on 3AW Football.
“Then you’d get maybe a number one or two draft pick and hopefully have two or three (picks) in the top 20 and come back from there when you have (Jacob) Hopper, (Tim) Taranto and Lynch back in the team.”
