Brendon Bolton’s perplexing assessment of Carlton’s scoreless first term
Brendon Bolton isn’t too upset about Carlton’s first quarter.
The Blues did not score against Hawthorn in the opening term on Saturday, their first scoreless opening term for 28 years.
But their coach wasn’t too disappointed.
“You might find this a bit hard to understand,” Bolton said after the game.
“We won the ground ball gets, we wont the contested possessions significantly.
“So the effort indicators are strong.”
Bolton said the Blues’ lack of composure led to too many skill errors.
