Brisbane co-captain Lachie Neale says the entire playing group remains hungry for more success despite a stuttering first half of the season.

The Lions survived a scare against a brave Essendon outfit on Thursday night, prevailing by 18 points after the Bombers took the lead in the final term.

Neale said his side appeared to be playing more consistent football against the best teams in the competition.

“It doesn’t feel like anyone is satisfied,” he told 3AW Football after the match.

“It does seem to be against the middle of the road teams that we’re struggling to play four quarters against.”
