Caller breaks down after revealing his son was beaten close to death by juvenile offenders

Caller Ian has broken down in tears after revealing his son, who worked as a guard at Parkville Youth Justice Centre, was beaten by nine 17-year-olds who left him unconscious.

It comes after Jacqui Felgate started off her 3AW Drive program by talking about the repeated assaults of prison guards at the Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct.

“He’ll never be the same,” Ian said.
