The same two offenders have committed six assaults in the past week, which has left 3AW Drive host Jacqui Felgate extremely concerned about the youth justice system.

Community and Public Sector Union (CPSU) spokesperson, Julian Kennelly, said it’s a “no-win situation” for the workers inside the facility.
“It was supposed to be designed and built to be a more intensive supervision style approach to deal with more difficult young offenders,” Mr Kennelly said.

Shadow Minister for Police and Shadow Minister for Youth Justice, Brad Battin, then called in and called on the state government to admit there’s a problem in the youth justice system.
“If you can’t admit there’s a problem, you’re never ever going to fix it,” Battin told Jacqui Felgate.
