Cameron Ling drops some Geelong selection news

As Cameron Ling foreshadowed, Daniel Menzel has been dropped by Geelong.

Joel Selwood and Zach Guthrie have come into the Cats’ side for their qualifying final against Richmond.

Menzel and Wylie Buzza have made way.

Josh Caddy returns for the Tigers, with Oleg Markov out of the side.

But it was the Menzel news that has grabbed attention.

Ling and Matthew Richardson were both shocked.

“I just wonder … whether you can still carry in modern footy, and maybe Stevie J is a good example, a player who can’t quite put that defensive pressure on,” Ling pondered.
