Carlton and Essendon dealt cruel injury blows

Essendon and Carlton have both been dealt injury blows tonight.

Jake Stringer and Mitch McGovern have both suffered hamstring injuries and will be sidelined for weeks.

Essendon ace Stringer is expected to miss a month.

The news is even worse for McGovern.

He needs surgery.

The Blues said he’s expected to miss 10-12 weeks.
