Carlton midfielder Marc Murphy announces retirement

Marc Murphy will play his 300th game for Carlton this weekend.

And it’ll also be his last.

The long-serving Blues midfielder has announced he’ll be retiring after this week’s clash with Port Adelaide.

Carlton revealed on Tuesday the former club captain had told the playing group he would not be playing on.

Murphy was taken with the first pick of the 2005 National Draft.
