Caroline Wilson and Leigh Matthews have clashed on 3AW over Alastair Clarkson’s pre-season confrontation with a news reporter that saw the new North Melbourne coach apologise for his behaviour.

He says he was simply standing up for his players.

But that hasn’t washed with Caro, who went head-to-head with Leigh and Jimmy Bartel over whether his players were “dumb enough” to buy that argument.
