Caroline Wilson and Leigh Matthews praise the AFL’s ‘popular appointment’ of Greg Swann

Earlier in the week, Brisbane Lions CEO Greg Swann was poached by the AFL to join their executive leadership team.

On 3AW Football, Caroline Wilson and Leigh Matthews praised the appointment and said all of the AFL clubs are “rejoicing”.

“I have never seen a more popular appointment in my time as a footy journo,” Wilson said.

“There is no one more qualified to do any of those big jobs at the AFL,” Matthews said.
