Caroline Wilson blasts the AFL’s handling of Rankine saga
Adelaide star Izak Rankine will miss the upcoming finals series after he was suspended for delivering a homophobic slur at an opposition player in round 23.
3AW Football’s Caroline Wilson has slammed Rankine’s actions and the AFL Commission over how they handled the entire situation.
“Andrew Dillon and his team have made such a rod for their finals back,” Wilson said on 3AW Football.

“There was no reason to back down from five weeks, the mental health excuse that Andrew Dillon was frankly insulting to people with mental health issues.”
“When I hear that Izak Rankine hasn’t been able to leave his house, well, Izak don’t make a homophobic slur on the eve of the finals.”
