Caroline Wilson: Essendon has had ‘wrong people’ in recruiting for ‘two decades’

Caroline Wilson hasn’t hold back on the state of Essendon’s list, saying they’ve had the “wrong people” in recruiting for 20 years.

The Bombers were left reeling after a 69-point hammering at the hands of Port Adelaide on Friday night.

The result has shone a spotlight on the club’s recent draft history and success of several top draft picks, with Caro saying the club’s recent decision to move on long-time list boss Adrian Dodoro was the right one.

“None of those Essendon players can match what Port Adelaide have got,” she said on 3AW Football.

“They do not have the cattle. They have had the wrong people in their recruiting and list management now for two decades.”
