Caroline Wilson has provided more details on the investigation surrounding Sam Powell-Pepper.

He was accused of assaulting a woman at an Adelaide nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning, a claim he denies.

Speaking on Sportsday, Wilson said the Port Adelaide youngster would certainly be dropped by the club for breaking curfew.

“He’ll miss this week, whatever happens,” she said.

“That’s an absolute certainty.”

Caro said Powell-Pepper had admitted to being drunk but “vehemently denied” the allegations of sexual assault.

“Port Adelaide is protecting their player, but they’re also saying they’ll throw the book at him if it’s found,” she said.

“I’m always a little bit disappointed that women in this positon feel they’re better off going to the media, rather than the law,”

“I don’t know why you’d go to Channel 7 rather than the police.”
