Catastrophic fire warning issued as state faces worst fire-risk day in years

Victoria is facing the worst fire-risk day since the Black Summer bushfires.

A catastrophic fire danger warning has been issued ahead of very hot and windy conditions.

CFA Chief Officer Jason Heffernan says it’s the first time there’s been a catastrophic rating in Victoria since the commencement of the Australian fire danger rating system.
