Wimmera residents left confused by CFA ‘catastrophic’ warning

The West Wimmera Shire mayor has revealed many individuals in the region have been left confused by the CFA’s warnings of a “catastrophic” fire-risk day.

Tim Meyer says the current weather in the region doesn’t feel “catastrophic”.

“They’ve had a look at the forecast, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be too hot, we know it’s going to get a bit windy later on,” he told Tom Elliott.
