Brodie Grundy and Tom Hawkins have been offered two-match bans and a Brownlow Media fancy looks set to be ineligible for the award after eight charges were laid by the AFL Match Review Panel.

Collingwood ruckman Grundy was offered two matches for rough conduct after his tackle on North Melbourne’s Ben Brown, which left the Roo concussed.

Tom Hawkins also copped a two-match ban for his hit on Dane Rampe.

His teammate Mitch Duncan can also accept a one-game ban, for striking Tom Papley, in a further blow to the Cats’ midfield after an injury to captain Joel Selwood.

Meanwhile, Brownlow medal third-favourite Zach Merrett was offered a one-match ban for striking Lachie Plowman.

GWS ruckman Shane Mumford can accept a one-game suspension for rough conduct on Max Gawn.
